About Wen

Hi! I’m Wendy & I’m so glad you’re here. In all transparency, please know I write the way I speak – as if we were having a face to face chit chat. If my grammar (or English) is off, you now know why. :O)

My titles include Mom, Gigi, Bestie, daughter, caregiver, in addition to a few others. While caregiving takes most of my focus, it is not solely all I am. Maybe you can relate to any one (or all) of these titles. I’m a relatively new Montanan & my Bestie lives super close. After 16 years of separation it is a joy to have her right next door. I am a reader – especially thrillers/mysteries, although I love most genres.

When I retired to take care of Mom full time, the plan was move to MT, raise chickens, grow our own fruits & veggies, learn to can said new home grown fruits & veggies, build a greenhouse, enjoy the spectacular view, experience all the weather, & so much more. So far I’ve gotten to almost fully decorating our home, experiencing all the weather (oftentimes in one day), thoroughly appreciating the incredible view & learning how to use a zero turn riding mower.

Mom is a feisty, well seasoned lady, my daughter is quite the tenacious learner & an amazing young lady who continues to amaze me with her desire to learn. I, am a big dad joke lover! There is just something about the stupidity that makes me laugh out loud.

Since 2024 both Mom & Tiauna’s level of care has increased. Mom’s continues to increase yet I find a little me time in mowing the property, staving off the deer who love to eat anything I plant despite being “deer resistant”, and watching the beautiful MT sky.

It is my dream to share experiences, hopefully some helpful tips, words of encouragement, a few awesome recipes, some dad jokes, and who knows, maybe some of our favorite things. I encourage you to share your faves too. There’s nothing better than building relationships through shared happiness. Am I right?!

Sending you the biggest hug, Wen ♥️
