I should have gone to medical school; or, been on the Enterprise in the Next Generation era. Dr. Crusher had her little magical scanner that she waved over her patients and could tell what was going on. Sometimes even for the non human species. I need that little dobobby.
After a quiet 4th of July weekend, Mom & Aun decided to kick it into overdrive. I often state “thankfully, they don’t get sick at the same time” – ha!
Mom started with eye pain on Saturday – by Monday we are at Urgent Care because she looked like she had been popped in the face. Her eyelid was swollen, the entire eye socket down to her cheekbone was red, draining fluid, not to mention the pain & soreness.
Tiauna started on Sunday evening. She was really cold – the cold is a trigger for her whole body pain episodes. Luckily I could convince her to take a warm shower which dramatically reduced her symptoms. Or so I thought. Monday early afternoon, she was just really uncomfortable. By the time she went to bed she was in horrible pain with a throbbing headache and freezing cold. We kicked up the efforts to get her back on track. This morning she was experiencing arm & hand tremors/spams on both right and left side, raging headache, light sensitivity, overall body pain & heaviness, as well as a bit of a fever.
In addition to trying to get her comfortable, I’m cancelling the days appointments, reaching out to other doctors – for both of them – to get them seen and three dogs who just will not get out from under my feet! I swear, they know when somethings up but becoming foot slippers does not help me at all.
Mom is on the road to recovery, antibiotics procured and administered, cold compresses on the ready. Tiauna not so much. She can be seen by her neurologist in two weeks. I appreciate how busy the doctor is, however, I don’t believe they really appreciate what Tiauna goes through as Tiauna. She didn’t ask for this. I really just want some straight answers on solutions to help her. I really just want Dr. Crusher’s scanney thingy so I can see what’s going on and take both of them to the right place to get it fixed.
